<p>Dobbins will work as a co-producer on the fiction project, which will be written by Justin MacGregor and Jonathan Keasey of MindRiot, according to the entertainment news source Deadline.</p>
<p>In June 2023, the Titan submarine vanished while on a deep-sea dive close to the Titanic’s ruins in the Atlantic Ocean.</p>
<p>One hour and forty-five minutes into the dive, the submersible lost touch with its mother ship. Four days later, a remotely controlled underwater vehicle found wreckage close to the Titanic disaster, and it was assumed that the Titan submarine had exploded.</p>
<p>The Titan’s crew of five—British entrepreneur Hamish Harding, British-Pakistani entrepreneur Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, 19; ex-French Navy diver Paul-Henry Nargeolet; and OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush—all perished.</p>
<p>“The Titan Tragedy is just another illustration of an uninformed and fast to act system, in this instance, our uninterrupted, 24 hour news cycle that convictions and damages the lives of so many individuals without any due process.</p>
<p>In addition to paying tribute to all those who lost their lives in the submersible accident and their families, Keasey stated, “Our film will serve as a vessel that also addresses a more general concern about the nature of media today.”</p>
<p>The project is a part of MindRiot’s future slate of docuseries, which also includes one on the underground rap culture in Seattle.</p>
